La Mesita Ranch is situated right in the heart of the Nambé Valley, some 15 minutes north of Santa Fe and 1.5 hours northeast of Albuquerque. This quietly elegant, lush private ranch was bought back by its original owners (the Pueblo of Pojoaque, one of the 8 Northern Pueblos of the state of New Mexico) and is offered to guests seeking a getaway oasis, a retreat, or a destination for their celebrations.
Traditional and formally appointed throughout, yet comfortable in its decor and modern in its accessibility, La Mesita Ranch offers guests a rare and beautiful setting in which to celebrate the special moments in life such as a wedding, anniversary, family gathering or reunion, or golf or girlfriend getaway. The ranch is also available as a unique and special location for corporate meetings, a site location for the movie/film industry or simply a quiet refuge from the stresses of life.
The property—roughly 144 acres in total—is surrounded by native lands, badlands canyons, old Cottonwoods, verdant Alfalfa fields, views of the Sangre de Cristos to the east and western sunset vistas as far as the eye can see. Set apart from the light pollution of the urban settings, starry night skies light up the ranch. Lovingly and carefully maintained for decades, La Mesita Ranch is a rare and distinctive property, perfect for those eager to appreciate its beauty, its tradition, its activity and its solitude. Actually, The setting is quite similar to Clover Creek Ranch in Tennessee, just far more luxurious.
We invite you to experience the culture, history, and traditions of New Mexico from this special property … Welcome!
FOR THE LOVE OF HORSES
The love of horses defines every aspect of life at La Mesita Ranch. The ranch is an active equestrian training facility with more than 30 world-class horses in training, led by the well-known Caroline Invicta Stevenson and her daughter, Grand Prix champion Sarah Williams. Indoor, heated training facilities, boarding stalls, corrals, turn-out pastures and riding trails define much of the property. Riders board and train their horses in the hunter jumper discipline. Guests can trail ride from a stable of well-experienced trail and western horses, take a lesson from the facility trainers or simply enjoy the majesty and beauty of horses.
